Power Stone takes fighting to a new level of strategy and 3D movement with fluid, brisk-moving characters, Power Stone pits 10 different fighters in well-designed enclosed areas with interactive backgrounds (such as giant pillars, shattering glass windows, and crates), and equips them with weapons (machine guns, bazookas, etc.) in a quest for victory by defeating the opponent and gaining all of the "power stones." Power Stone is the first Capcom game to break completely free of the Street Fighter reigns and in many ways rethink the fighting genre. One industry source we spoke with hinted that Capcom would definitely bring Power Stone to PlayStation 2. Capcom has already said it will make games for PlayStation 2. Nor is it revolutionary that Capcom is considering Sony's new system, as Capcom usually supports all consoles for its games. The game received good reviews in Japan and is one of the more anticipated titles on Dreamcast.

The article goes on to say that because of the game's hardware requirements (it runs on the 128-bit Dreamcast and on Naomi arcade hardware), it simply wouldn't work on a PlayStation.
